Quote:
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. (AP) - One man is dead and another in jail after what suburban Philadelphia police say was an argument over a drinking game that escalated into a fatal shooting.

Investigators say 24-year-old Joseph Jimenez fatally shot 25-year-old Scott Riley after they argued over a game of beer pong at a party Friday night in Bridgeport, about 15 miles outside Philadelphia.

Authorities say the men began arguing over the game then met up outside, where Riley mocked Jimenez and challenged him to shoot.

According to a police complaint Jimenez drew a concealed .40-caliber handgun and fired, striking Riley in the neck. Riley died at a hospital.

Jimenez is being held without bail on first- and third-degree murder charges. It could not be immediately determined if he had an attorney.

I sure nothing like that will happen at Pent, but if something should break out, I think that we can count on Greg to keep the peace and make sure that thinks don't get out of hand!

The day that the word "think" in any form, is synonymous with "the pent"....well, let's just say that the Jesus Freaks call that day "the rapture"....

I think the word challenge event at Pent 2 caused Pentathaletes to revise they way we thought about future pent thinking events.

Yet we still added poker, croquet, badminton and pac-man....not that those are thinking games, but rather examples of a lack of "forethought"....

It feels good to bash events when you're retired from competition....

Mr. Pfinisch,
Very funny...pick on the retired guy. I see how it is, no respect. That's it, I'm mentally retconn-ing years of MD3 history.....non of the newbies exist and Wa is still President. Now since Fried-Rice and myself are original and Southern Mason-Dixon-Line Pent Alumnus, we can re-write our history as we see fit. Now to play photoshop with some pictures......

Poker - So-so
Croquet - Wasn't in that Pent; but I bet people had a hard time with the rules
Badminton - Was actually very fun; If their was a dog event during that Pent it was Paper Football NOT badminton
Pac-Man - Well I think everyone knows my opinion of that by now

That must have been one of the Pents that I missed....I do remember that we all seemed to lose interest during Caps at the first or second Pent....the Perfect Pent event needs to be:
1. Able to be understood while drunk
2. Able to be performed while still holding a beer/beverage
3. Able to be started and finished in under 15 minutes
4. Able to hold the attention of an autistic chimp who is high on angel dust

Considering the criteria, have we considered trying hop-scotch.....

Carlins, according to Jack's criteria for pent events, Ms. Pacman should be thrown out. There is no WAY a chimp on angel dust plays Ms. Pacman.

Jon-o gets a '*' next to his win.
