My fellow MD3-ites,

The polls have closed, and the people have spoken.....Pent XIII now has a confirmed date.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of He Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken and Jill He Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken....they will not be able to host the Pent at the Kottage, I would like to thank them though for offering to host, and hopefully we can have a "Return to Rockdale" in the future.

So you may ask....who is going to host this? After all this going on with polls and dates...when is it going to be?

Ohhhhh the suspense...........


















Pent XIII will be hosted by Jon-O at his Father's place in Edinboro....on Memorial Day Weekend, May 23rd, 24th, and 25th...as usual Opening Ceremonies on Friday, Events on Saturday, and Closing Ceremonies on Sunday.

From what I hear from Jon-O this is quite a posh venue for a Pent....with this, some new events could open up.....(if we don't make use of this putting green.....)

After to talking to Jon, here is what he had to say:


I would like to keep this downstairs and in
the yard. There is an entrance to the basement through the garage, so
that should not be a problem.

The basement has it's own bathroom, a couple of TV's, a
mini-fridge, and bar / kegerator set up.
Between the basement and the yard, the following games are
already available if the committee would like to use any of them:
- Two sets of horseshoe pits
- Putting green
- Cornhole (Two sets)
- Plenty of yard space for bocce, yard darts, Polish horseshoes,
whatever, but I don't own any of those games, so you'd have to bring
them.
In the basement:
- Ping pong
- Electric dart board
- Pool (Also good for beer pong!)
- Foosball
Food would have to be brought in cold or in plug in croc pots or
roasters, or even grilled outside. There is a gas grill on the back
porch. Also,there is a min-fridge and sink in the basement.

So there it is....we go back to Memorial Day weekend, with our new host Jon-O

Well, we've never played foosball in a Pent before and I would hate to miss out on an opportunity to include it. I petition the Organizing Committee to consider it.

Wait...Am I on the Organizing Committee? Somebody ask me, please!

Oh well, maybe Dictator Lasky will overturn the term limits and I'll be able to run again.

I think that the host should choose the organizing committee.....

Is Jono a memeber of Pent Talk???

If not someone might inform him to log on and join the fun!!!!

I was talking to Jon-O, and he did not want to be on the Organizing Committee since he is hosting, and wanted to keep things fair.

So, how many do we want on the committee?

I would like to be on it, and I know Matte wants in on the action...anyone else?
